12/13-12/17 Poem Blog
When I was looking for poems to write this blog I had a very tough time finding one I liked and stood out to me. As soon as I read this poem I knew that it was going to be the one. This poem had a totally different meaning than most of the poems I was reading. A lot of the poems I read were very depressing and negative. I don’t enjoy reading things that make me upset. Not all poems should be that way. Poems should be happy and give a good message out to the reader. That is why I choose and like this poem. It sends out a good message to whoever reads it. The poem doesn’t really reflect my life probably because I don’t have a husband or a dog. I just think people should be more happy and positive. People complain about things that they can’t control and look at the negative side of things. Those people who act that way should read this poem and have a different view on life. Life is too short to be unhappy. This poem does a good job showing the reader that they should live everyday to the fullest and cherish what you have. I think we need more people in this world that has the same view as our narrator. I think everyone would be happier. The world would also be a better place. Another thing I like about this poem is that it rhymes. I love rhyming poems and how they just flow. If a poem doesn’t rhyme I think that it’s harder to understand. It may also seam more serious if the poem doesn’t rhyme. This poem just makes me feel good inside and makes me want to perform all those tasks. So starting tomorrow, I am going to smile at someone that I’ve never seen before. It might be weird but I’m going to do it anyways.
