11/29-12/3 What Is Art?

What is art? Art could mean so many different things to so many different types of people. You could ask somebody the same question and get a different response from someone living two houses down the road. It all depends on the way that person views art. I, personally, view art in many different ways. Art could be shown by physically doing something, or showing it on a piece of paper. Art could also be shown through some sort of dancing and music. By dancing, people can normally tell what kind of mood that person is feeling. Or if they’re expression their emotion through music, they play their instrument depending on how they feel. When someone is playing hard, strong, music their normally feeling upset or mad. Or, if that person is playing high-pitched, upbeat music, that would mean the person is in a good mood. Art is simple just expressing feelings. There is no limitations when it comes to art. When most people think of art, they think of paper, paint or colored pencils. But there also could be art such as sculpting and ceramics, and just pencil drawing. Art can be shown in any way as long as it has a meaning behind it. A piece of artwork could have a single object and mean so much. Art started long ago, even before art materials were created. Cave man’s would draw pictures by using berries on stone to tell a story. There is also many different types of actual art. For an example, there is realism and impressionism. The different types of arts have their own meaning behind them. A piece of artwork could look like it was taken by a photographer it was so clear. Or, the piece could have so many objects and shapes, the viewer has no idea what it is. Either way, art is art.
